To complement the musical, Sheffield Theatres teamed up with Bill Stephenson, the social documentary photographer, who first captured Park Hill in 1988 with his exhibition Streets in the Sky, to exhibit his work in the Crucible Theatre during the run of Standing at the Sky’s Edge.

Using the theatre’s front glass panels, alongside images on screens in the upper foyer, Bill’s social realist photography was juxtaposed against this history of modern Britain told through the hopes and dreams of three generations over the course of six tumultuous decades and set to the irresistible songs of legendary Sheffield singer-songwriter Richard Hawley.
